Attention Patients
1. Prior to your appointment, please contact your insurance company and find out the following information: your deductible and how much of it you have met, your office visit co-pay, and your insurance preferred lab. Note: If you go to a non-preferred lab, your insurance company may not pay as much or any of the charges and the charges will become your responsibility.
2. Medical identity theft is on the rise. The Federal Trade Commission has adopted a new rule that is effective August 1, 2009 requiring medical offices to verify the identity of all patients at each visit. In an attempt to prevent medical identity theft and comply with the FTC, we now require you to show your photo ID and insurance card at each visit. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Farewell From Mary Ross, CNM, ANP
Dear Patients,
It is with regret that I need to tell you I will no longer be working at Alaska Women’s Health (AWH). I have decided, after much deliberation, to work as a women’s health care provider for the women and families of the military. As of August 3rd I will be working at Elmendorf Air Force Base.
I know that you will find very satisfactory and excellent care with the other women’s health providers at Alaska Women’s Health.
